European Economic Congress is one of the biggest business events in Eastern Europe as well as the place for dialogue and debates on the shape and condition of European economy in next years. Last year’s first European Economic Congress was attended by more than 3000 guests from Poland, Europe and World. Katowice for 3 days were the capital of European economy. The Congress was a wide forum for dialogue on challenges in front of European Union and Polish economy. The subjects were focused around 2 main areas – challenges with introducing climate act in Poland and ways of handling the crisis.

The issues of this year’s Congress consist of the analysis of main problems of global economy. We plan to discuss the economic situation of Poland, Europe and World. We would like to focus on possibilities to improve the situation and to handle the financial crisis.

The importance of II European Economic Congress is a result not only of the subject discussed but mainly of the attendants. Their competence, openness and responsibility is the biggest asset of the Congress. They will let us to more knowingly and efficiently deal with the challenges of the modern world. The content-related and organizational shape of the Congress is supervised by Organizational Committee headed by Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament.
