Medical Insurance

For several years in Poland there has been a tendency for the legislator to regulate the sphere of civil liability insurance of entities providing health care services. However, due to high risk of the activity, the number of Insurers present in this sector is low, which translates into a high premium. Ensuring a hospital a proper coverage at an acceptable cost and in line with regulations becomes one of the fundamental objectives of management.

The insurance market does not offer one comprehensive insurance product to protect the liability of medical entities. The primary liability insurance for a hospital is the compulsory third party liability insurance for a medical practitioner. Although the scope of protection under this insurance is broad and provided by law, it cannot, however, be considered to fully meet the needs of healthcare entities.

It is usually necessary to conclude a policy supplementing the scope of a third party liability insurance and increasing the sum guaranteed. As part of our services we conduct a reliable risk assessment, by which we obtain knowledge about a hospital’s activity and threatened areas. On this basis, we build insurance program to provide the widest possible coverage of civil liability in relation to the activity and property held.
